THE SOUND:
Though an accurate label would place it somewhere between Hardcore Metal and Hard Rock, an eclectic array of influences are visited throughout Cerebellion’s sonic journey. Those influences range from Metallica to The Gypsy Kings, Pantera to Primus, and Tool to Led Zeppelin. Ultimately though, the sound is a product of the vibe created by the band’s organic jam sessions and Joe’s lyrics.
PHILOSOPHY:
Cerebellion has always done things their way with the philosophy that the music and live performance are paramount. Defying industry standards, which place great emphasis on image, gimmick, and short-term returns on passing trends, this band connects with its audience through honesty and humility. Musically and personally, the chemistry of its members and the focus on their long-term vision promise longevity.
LIVE:
Cerebellion thrives on its live show! Through a barrage of flailing hair and limbs, stomping, and jumping through the air, the show can be described as a hybrid of a concert and an athletic event. Eager to connect with its audience, the quartet establishes a recycling of positive energy that flows between both parties.
INTERESTING EXTRAS/ HOBBIES:
Three of Cerebellion’s members are college graduates from Long Beach State University. John and Marc have degrees in Business and Joe’s is in Human Development.
MARC- muscle cars, working on anything mopar, snowboarding, working out, and watching The Simpsons.
JIMMY- playing basketball, watching the Lakers and The Chargers, taking his dog to the Dog Park, and Bruce Lee movies.
JOHN – politics and social studies, running, body boarding, basketball, and soccer.
JOE – soccer, basketball, politics and social studies, and drums. All of us love hanging out with friends and family!
